Relative placement is so important. Anytime the children can’t be placed with their parents, the court will look to relatives or non-related extended family members to find a safe home for a child while parents are reunifying. I work very close with my clients to help identify potential relatives that their children can be placed with.

I also work with relatives, so very often my office is contacted by aunts, uncles, and grandparents. As a dependency lawyer, I know how to file the right motions to get the relative to have a say in what’s going on in court. This is a critical part of my practice and to help a child keep the bonds with their family through this very difficult process.
