[Speaker 1]
With us, former Deputy Public Defender Philip Dubé and joining us now, Trial Attorney Lauren Johnson Norris. Lauren, let me start with you. Thank you for joining us.
I feel sympathy towards this lady. She gets a little upset, asked about the maintenance man fiancé. I think that's because we know from opening statements, he killed himself about one year after this happened.
And my question for you is the screen that was bent and slashed. To me, that's pretty good evidence for the defense suggesting someone else gained entry into the apartment.
[Speaker 2]
Absolutely. If someone couldn't enter with a key, they didn't have access to the door, slashing the screen and entering the apartment, that way would be one way to do it and to get access to this victim.
